Today I began my job as a nanny. I am taking care of two children- a boy, 5, and a girl, 2. They are sweet kids and I am excited to get to know them better. I am creating this blog to share my experiences, seek the help of others, and create a place where I can post activities, schedules, lessons for the benefit of other nannies.
I am looking to create a schedule with activities and lessons for the kids. Their mom wants us to start a garden since they live on 13 acres with plenty of space for one, and this is the perfect time of year to start planting. The boy is starting kindergarten in August so we need to focus on reading, writing, and numbers with him to make sure he is prepared. With the little girl, the question is just how to keep a two year old's attention focused on any activity for an extended period of time....
That's it for today. When I figure out where I'm going with the schedule and find some good activities, I'll post them and hopefully get some feedback!!
